Obituary for Dorothy Mae Richardson Moore

Dorothy Mae Richardson Moore, 96, of 276 Main St., widow of William Dan Moore, passed away peacefully at her home at 2:45 PM Saturday, June 23rd, 2012. She was a daughter of the late William Robert and Myrtle Ept Winkler Richarson. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Irvine First Christian Church, Loyal Daughters Sunday School Class, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years, White Shrine, the Estill County Women's Club and the Estill County Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband William Dan Moore; her daughter Gloria Ann Moore Wolfinbarger; her sons-in-law Eugene T. Wolfinbarger and Robert Elwood Daugherty and; her sisters Ruby Warner, Hazel Crump, Helen Moore, Lourie Richardson, Ruth Richardson and Romyrtle Wilson; her brothers William Shelton Richardson and James Willard Richardson. Survivors include two daughters Hazel Jo & husband Bobby Glenn Sherrard and Vivian Kay Moore (the late Elwood) Daugherty; seven grandchildren Rebecca Ann Wolfinbarger Dworkin, of Farmington Hills, Mich, Allison Kay Wolfinbarger Witt (Asa) of Mt. Sterling, KY; Jacqueline Jo Sherrard Graves (Allen) of Lexington, William Stephen Daugherty (Samantha) of Richmond, Robert Daniel Sherrard (Kimberly) of Frankfort, Phillip Moore Daugherty (Brittany) of Mount Sterling, and Harold Glenn Sherrard (Staci) of Irvine; sixteen great-grandchildren Rebecca Joelle Rison Chase (Radley) of Texas, Daniel Isaac Rison of Lexington, McKenzie Allison Dworkin, Sabrina Nicole Dworkin, Olivia Brianne Dworkin all of Mich, Samuel Calvin Sherrard, Mary Grace Sherrard, Jacob Paul Sherrard all of Irvine, Sutton Caroline Sherrard, Carrington Annabelle Sherrard of Frankfort, and Marisol Isabella Graves of Lexington, Kaylin Alexis Daugherty, and Kayci Allyson Daugherty of Mount Sterling, Tyler Patrick Arthur, Katherine Olivia Arthur and Sarah Grace Arthur of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver Margaret LeMaster. Services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2:00 PM at the Irvine First Christian Church with Bro. Greg Humpert officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Tuesday, at the Lewis Funeral Home, and from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be William Stephen Daugherty, Robert Daniel Sherrard, Phillip Moore Daugherty, Harold Glenn Sherrard, Allen Graves and Daniel Issac Rison. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of the First Christian Church. The family requests donations to Hospice
