Obituary for Scotty Winkler

Scotty Winkler,81, widower of Bernice Robertson Winkler, passed away Friday, at his home after a long illness. Mr. Winkler was a native of Estill County, a son of the late William Goble Winkler and the late Mattie Arvin Winkler. He was a member of the Crooked Creek Christian Church, and had been a farmer his entire life. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice; his brothers Gene and Darrell Winkler; and his sister Margaret Winkler.

Survivors include his son Scotty Jr. (and wife Phyllis) Winkler; his daughter Denise (and husband Mike) Meyers; his grandaughters Nicole Beall, Natasha Winkler, Sommer Meyers, and Morgan Meyers; his great-grandchild Taryn Beall.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at the Crooked Creek Christian Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6:00 pm on Sunday, at Lewis Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Newton, Mike Tuttle, James Young, Tom Bonny, Robert Smith, and Randall Christopher.
