Alvirta Frances Horn, 77, wife of Jewel Horn, passed away Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Mrs. Horn was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Zack and Lillian Walters Walling. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse. She attended the White Oak Church of God. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Horn; her brother Donald Walling; her sisters Claire Walling, Marilyn Walling, and Sophia Rawlins; Survivors other than her husband Jewel include her siblings Mary (and husband Jim) McIntosh, Ray (and wife Joyce) Walling, Randy (and wife Wanda) Walling, Tommy (and wife Mary) Walling, Lou Ellen (and husband Harold) Johnson, Norma (and husband Teddy) Jones, Ida (and husband Lee) Casey, Dorthy (and husband Forces) Lutes, Roy (and wife Sue) Walling, Jackie Walling, and Zack Walling Jr. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, Lewis Funeral Home, with David Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sonny Powell Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 am until service time Friday. Pallbearers will be Ray, Randy, Tommy, Jackie, Zack, and Roy Walling.
