Ann Liza Tipton, age 103, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her home. She was the widow of the late Warren Tipton. Ann was born in Estill County September 3,1922 to the late Hattie Stevens and William(Tom) Stevens.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jesse Stone; one daughter, Janice Cooper; two sisters, Dorsey Hisel and Grace Powell; one brother, Dillard Stevens; one grandson, Ronald Cooper Griswold; and eight Tipton stepchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ann Banks of Lexington, Kentucky, and Debra Jane Sparks of Estill County; and one son, Richard (Sandra) Stone of Arlington, Texas. Additional survivors include two stepchildren, Sue Tipton Collins and Connie (Brad) Melear; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Visitation will be 11:00am until time of service. Burial will follow at Sally Poer Cemetery in Irvine.
