Bernice Walters Hall, 84, widow of James Arthur Hall, passed away Tuesday at the Marcum-Wallace Hospital. Mrs. Hall was native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Beverly "Cutter Walters and Edna Tipton Walters. She was a homemaker, and a former employee of Carhart. She enjoyed quilting, and working in her flower garden. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James; and her sisters Helen Ruth Walters and Bonnie Henry.
Survivors include her daughters Sherrel Kay Hall (and husband William) Bledsoe, Janice Hall (and husband Gary) Embs; her son Beverly Allen (and wife Barbara) Hall; her sisters Blanche (and husband Gary) Griffin, Laverne (and husband Gene) Riddell, Ladene (and husband Jerry) Foster; her brothers David (and wife Louise) Walters, Glen (and wife Louise) Walters, James (and wife Loretta) Walters, Damon (and wife Sherlyn) Walters, Billy (and wife Janet) Walters; her grandchildren Brad (and wife Amanda) Hall, Leeann (and husband Wayne) Cole, William A. Bledsoe, Brent (and wife Kristy) Bledsoe, Chance Hall, Parker Hall, and Whitney Embs; her great grandchildren Emma Bledsoe, Josh Bledsoe, and Kaitlyn Bledsoe, Kayla Cole, Aubrey Cole, Kara Cole and Braden Hall; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 1st 2016 at Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Thursday, June 30th.
Pallbearers will be Brad Hall, William A. Bledsoe, Brent Bledsoe, Chance Hall, Whitney Embs, Parker hall, and Leeann Cole.
