Betty Mae Hardy Wiseman, age 91, of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2025, at her home.
Betty was born on November 24, 1933, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Carl Thomas Hardy and Iva Lee Singleton Bruce.
Betty was a homemaker, a devoted wife and loving mother. Betty was an active lifelong member of the River Drive Christian Church. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Irvine Eastern Star Chapter 357 and a lifetime member of 75 years. She was an avid Bridge player and loved playing with her friends. In later years playing her Ipad was a favorite past time.
Along with her parents Betty is preceded in death by her husband Abner Isaac Wiseman, children Peggy Burns and Katherine Land, a sister, Wanda Lee Martin and son-in-law Greg Wood.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Wood and Rebecca Newton and husband Michael. Four grandchildren, Donna Oliver, Linda Burns, Morgan Wood and husband Drew, and Christopher Newton. One great grandchild Lilee Mae Oliver. One sister, Iva Jeanne James and husband Jimmy. Two very special friends, Martha Floyd Griffin and Patty Cook. Along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Betty Mae Hardy Wiseman will be conducted on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2:00 P.M at River Drive Christian Church. Brother Paul Groves will be officiating. Interment will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, from 6 until 9 P.M at the church. Order of the Eastern Star Irvine chapter 357 will conduct an Eastern Star Service beginning at 2:00 P.M on Sunday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Newton, Drew Gilligan, William Hardy, Darryl Cook, Kevin Puckett, Garry Estes, Tracy Adams and Scott Jones. Honorary Pallbearer will be Donald Hardy.
