Betty Jane Johnson, age 76, of Belden, Mississippi, departed this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice Unit.

Mrs. Johnson was born on January 21, 1947, in Pike, Ohio to the late Leo and Jennie Corp Burnett.

In addition to her parents, Betty is also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Johnson Sr., 3 children, Richard Lee Johnson Jr. and his wife Velma, Betty Sue Ariaza and Christopher Paul Johnson, as well as 2 brothers, Jerry Burnett and his surviving wife Linda and Alan Burnett. Along with 1 grandson, Anthony Ariaza.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Lines Edward Johnson and wife Heather and James Joseph Johnson. 1 brother, Clifty Burnett, 1 son in law, Roy Ariaza, 9 grandchildren, Michael Johnson and wife Samantha, Jeremy Johnson and wife Tiona, Richard Johnson III, Jessica Watson and husband Logan, P-Nut Ariaza and wife Rachel, Thomas Ariaza and husband Tyler, Brittney Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, and Brooklyn Johnson and husband T.J., 14 great grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Caroline, and Jaivin Johnson, Riley Ritter, Adelyn Johnson, Clayton Watson, Justin Bray, Addison, Ava, and Jayden Ariaza, Avery Johnson, Keelan and Isaiah Polk. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Betty Jane Johnson will be conducted on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Noon in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. The family will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens in Richmond, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M until the time of services at Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
