Charles Landon
Noble
Nov 28, 1940 — Oct 8, 2026
Charles Landon Noble, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at his home in Estill County, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, November 28, 1940, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Owen and Golda Noble.
Charles was a hardworking man who found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for farming and took great pride in caring for his cattle, tending to his garden, and working the land he loved so dearly. Whether he was out on his farm or sitting on his front porch enjoying the beautiful countryside, Charles found peace and contentment in the place he called home.
He was also an avid trap shooter who greatly enjoyed the sport. Charles was a talented and skilled mechanic who had a natural gift for working with his hands. He loved working on automobiles and was someone his friends and neighbors could always count on when they needed a helping hand. His knowledge of mechanics and willingness to help others made him well-known and respected throughout his community.
Above all, Charles was a devoted family man. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family. His daughter and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and the love he had for them was immeasurable. Charles was also a devoted husband who deeply loved his late wife, Nancy. Her passing left an emptiness in his heart, and he continued to cherish her memory and the wonderful life they had shared together. His gentle spirit, hardworking nature, and love for his family will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Noble; one daughter, Gina Marshall; and one brother, Owen Gordon.
Charles leaves behind his loving daughter, Charlotte (Michael) Garber of Estill County, Kentucky; one sister, Vila Mae Finney; four grandchildren, Amber Thompson of Berea, Kentucky, Tiffany (Justin) Young of McKee, Kentucky, Mikaela (Colby) Baber of Irvine, Kentucky, and Austin (McKenzie) Garber of Richmond, Kentucky; and eight precious great-grandchildren, Aubree Thompson, Tristan Thompson, Wyatt Thompson, Berkli Young, Bo Young, Jace Garber, Autumn Baber, and Twig Baber. Each of them held a very special place in his heart and brought him countless moments of happiness throughout his life.
The family would like to express their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary team of caregivers who provided such loving and compassionate care for him. Each of you went above and beyond, not only caring for him but also loving him as though he were a member of your own family. Your kindness, patience, dedication, and unwavering support brought comfort and peace during a time when we needed it most.
We would especially like to recognize Emma Day, who graciously took on so many additional responsibilities and was always there when we needed her. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Carol Boyken, Rita Patrick, Betty Hisle, Kimber Isaacs, and Analyse Day. Each of you holds a very special place in our hearts.
Words could never fully express how much your love, compassion, and dedication have meant to our family. We truly could not have made it through this journey without each and every one of you. You were more than caregivers; you became part of our family, and we will forever cherish the love and kindness you showed.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You were truly blessings sent from God, and we will be forever grateful that He placed each of you in our lives. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine.
