Christopher William Popp, age 52, of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life suddenly on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his home in Irvine.

Chris was born on December 17, 1972, in Irvine, Kentucky to J.C. Popp and Rececca Sue Hickman Popp.

He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Raymond and Gertrude Hickman; an uncle, Richard Hickman; and paternal grandparents Willie and Violet Popp.

Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Sue Hickman Popp of Irvine, Kentucky and his father J.C. Popp (Linda) of Orange Lake, Florida; a very special aunt, Judy Marlene Hickman of Irvine, Kentucky; a sister, Carrie Tackett (David) and nieces Audrey and Sarah Tackett all from Grayson, Kentucky; a sister, Melanie Cole (Daniel) and a brother, Aaron Popp (Judith), from Orange Lake, Florida. He also has numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him and mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Christopher William Popp will be conducted on Thursday, January 23, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Gary Powell will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Pallbearers will be James Hamilton, Jamie Riddell, L.G. Richardson, Jeff Wiseman, David Tackett, and Gary Powell.
