Daniel Collins, 88, died January 23rd. Born and reared in Lee County, KY, he lived most of his adult life in Jefferson County. He succumbed to age-induced illness at Baptist Hospital East. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elisabeth Jeraldine (Tyree), his eldest son David Lee Collins, and his daughter Lois Ann Collins. He is survived by his sons Paul Michael Collins and Luther Timothy Collins, by three grandchildren, and by five great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, 224 Main St. Irvine, KY on Monday, January 28th at 11:00 AM. He will then be interred in the Oakdale Cemetery beside his wife and eldest son.
