Obituary

Danville Coffey, 83, widower of Betty Reece Coffey, passed away Wednesday, at his residence. Mr. Coffey was a native of Jackson County, a son of the late Alger and Carrie Cane Coffey. He was a retired employee of Lexington Cut Stone, and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his son Eugene Coffey. Survivors include her daughters Carrie (Randy) West, Peggy (Kevin Combs) Arvin, Polly (Happy Isaacs) Roberts, and Ruby Cane; his sons Bobby (Melissa) Coffey, Darrell (Billie) Coffey, Junior (Debbie Clark) Coffey, Raymond Coffey, and David Coffey; twenty-two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Friday.
