DeFreda Cole, age 81, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Everheart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, OH.

DeFreda was born to the late Sherman and Lossie Kate Hoover Parrott on September 9, 1942, in Jackson County, Kentucky.

DeFreda Cole along with her parents was preceded in death by her first husband Virgil W. Whitsel and her second husband Beecher Cole, one daughter; Tonya Whitsel, one sister-in-law; Janet Parreh, and one brother-in-law; Larry Kearnes.

Survivors include: three children; Henrietta K. Whitsel, Dewey S. Whitsel and Virgil Whitsel Jr and Melody. Five grandchildren, one brother; Glenn Parrett and one sister; Jean R Kearns.

Private funeral services for DeFreda Cole were held Sunday, September 8, 2024, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Marvin Neal officiating. Interment followed at Campbell Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky.
