Edith Gordon Worrell, 87, wife of Doug, passed away Wednesday at her home after a long illness. She was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Lee and Delitha Fox Gordon, and she was raised by Anse and Ninn Winkler. She was a member of the Crooked Creek Christian Church, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her brothers Arnold and Everett Gordon; her half brothers Johnny, Elbert and Sherman Gordon; her sisters Jeanette Good, Margie Phillips, Irene Renfro; her foster sister Christine Thomas. Survivors other than her husband Doug, include her daughters Joyce (and husband Larry) Puckett, Sheila (and husband Ronnie) Henry;her son Phillip (and wife Teresa) Worrell; her foster sister Daisy Tuttle; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, September 12th, 2015 at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. D. Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery.
