Obituary

Mrs. Edna Blevins Cain, 99, of Irvine, Kentucky, the widow of Snowden Cain, passed away Thursday evening, September 28, 2023, at the Marcum-Wallace Hospital in Irvine. Her death was just one month away from her 100th Birthday.

Mrs. Cain was born in Estill County, Kentucky, on October 28, 1923, the daughter of the late Dan and Tilda Babb Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of The Old Path Holiness Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Frances Dixon, Loraine Campbell (Charles) and Mildred Gray; one son: Julian Cain (Sylvia); eighteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by three sons: Dan Cain, Willie Cain and Arthur Cain and five grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023, at The Old Path Holiness Church, 3253 Old KY Hwy 52 with Rev. Marvin Marshall and Rev. Bobby Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery at Waco.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM to service time on Thursday at the Church.

Pallbearers are Justin Samples, Julian Cain Jr., Franklin Dixon Jr., Dalton Haigh, Randall Scott and Danny Williams.

The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
