Edward Delmont Gross, age 87, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, December 25, 2023, at his home.

Delmont was born on March 3, 1936, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Elmo and Ruby Colwell Gross. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of over 48 years, Ethel Marie Saylor Gross,2 brothers, Dewey Wayne Gross and James Linville Gross, 2 special cousins, Bunt Gross and Bud Rogers, and a special friend, Daley Thompson.

Mr. Gross was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite for over 50 years as well as a Shriner. He also served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his son, Edward Wayne Gross and wife Kay, 2 grandchildren, Justin Gross and wife Melissa and Jackie Vincent and husband Luke. 4 great grandchildren, Olivia and Caleb Gross and Mason and Baby Vincent, his significant other, Delores Dee McCullah, who have resided together for over 16 years,living on Cobb Hill where they knew each other growing up. A special friend and caretaker, Carla Saylor. As well as numerous other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Edward Delmont Gross will be conducted on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. in the Lewis Home for Funerals chapel. Brother Mark Pearson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Cobb Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the funeral home.

Masonic services will be conducted Friday evening, December 29, 2023, at 7:30 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals by Irvine Lodge #137, O.D. Henderson Lodge #437, and Stafford Lodge #562. He was a member of Proctor Lodge # 213 in Beattyville, Kentucky. Military honors will be given at the cemetery by American Legion post # 79,

Pallbearers will be Edward and Justin Gross, Luke Vincent, David McCullah, Carla Saylor and Carolyn Saylor.
