Elbert B. Jones, 93, passed away Wednesday, at Berea Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Jones was a native of Estill County, a son of the late John Bill Jones and the late Edith Barnes Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired employee of the Telephone Company and a member of Friendship Baptist Church who enjoyed fishing, and gardening. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by brothers Otha Robert Jones, Charles Glenn Jones, Price Junior Jones, Arthur James Jones, Warren Jones; and his sister Hasteen Golden. Survivors include his son Nubby Jones; his daughter Deborah Riddle; his sisters Emma Clay Arthur and Ella Mae Adams; his brother Carlie Gene Jones; his grandchildren Ron Dale Riddle II, Joshua Elbert Riddle, Melia Jones, Jeremiah Jones; his great grandchildren Bailey Jessie, Brett Riddle, Peyton Riddle, Sydney Riddle, Evie Riddle, Brianna Powell and Addy Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special son-in-law Ronnie Riddle. Services will be held Saturday, June 27th, 12:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Friday. Pallbearers will be Ron riddle II, David Vanderpool, Josh Riddle, Edmon Chaney, Frank Vanderpool.
