Evelyn M. Cox, age 90, of Beattyville, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky.

Evelyn was born on December 9, 1932, in Livonia, New York to the late Herbert and Harriett Young Hayton.

In addition to her parents Miss Cox is also preceded in death by her husband Bruce Cox, four brothers, Herbert, George, Harry and Edward Hayton, two sisters, Marian Storke and Dorothy Donley.

Survivors include her sister, Carolyn Washburn, one special niece Susie Hayton, a very special friend, Marsha Turner, Brian and Mandy Turner, and Sadie and Jaxon Turner, all of whom she thought of as grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as several nieces and nephews to miss her and mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Evelyn M. Cox will be conducted on Saturday, June 17,2023, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Marvin Neal will be officiating. Interment will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family will serve as pallbearers.
