Frank G. Witt, 88, of Richmond, formerly of Irvine died Monday at his home in Richmond. He was born December 25th, 1924 in Estill County, a son of the late Arthur and Stella Witt. Mr. Witt was an employee of the Kentucky Utilities Company retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Rice Station Christian Church in Irvine. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and was an avid gardner. He loved spending time with his family. Mr. Witt was preceded in death by his siblings Alma Witt Snowden, Opal Witt, Kenneth Witt, Chester Witt, and Estill Witt. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Julia Powell Witt; his daughters Phyllis Ann (Rufus) Brown, and Gina Rae (Jon) McCombs; two grandchildren Angela Brown (Chris) Boyle and Christopher McCombs; two great grandchildren Eric Brown and Maison Boyle; two brothers Ray Witt and Gene Witt; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 30th, at the Rice Station Christian Church with Rev. Bob McCombs, Rev. Mark Pearson and Bro. Kirt Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM Tuesday at the Lewis Funeral Home and at Rice Station Christian Church from 10:00 until service time Wednesday. Pallbearers will be David Witt, Arthur Witt, Christopher McCombs, Eric Brown, Chris Boyle, and Eric Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Snowden and Kentucky Utilities Retirees and employees.
