Georgia Frances Hoover Kirby, 83, wife of George Kirby, passed away Monday at the Irvine Health and Rehab center. Mrs. Kirby was a native of Estill county, a daughter of the late Jim Daniel and Lucinda Sparks Hoover. She enjoyed crochet, knitting, bingo, and fishing. She was a former employee of the Miami University. She was a member of the South Irvine Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers Virgil, Bedford, Robert, Stanley, and John Hoover; her grandson Shannon Carl Kirby. Survivors other than her husband of 62 years George, include her sons Delbert (and wife Betty) Kirby and Dana Hoover; her grandchildren Preston Kirby, Brian Kirby, Rhonda Hoover Stevens, Steve Hoover, Jody Hoover, and James Hoover; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 17th, 2016 at Lewis Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Jody Hoover, Brian, Preston, Phillip, Bill, and William Kirby. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Myers, and David Kirby.
