Georgina Kane, 94, widow of William Thomas Kane, passed away Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at the Irvine Health and Rehab center. Mrs. Kane was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late William Walter and Sarah Hunt Brakefield. Mrs. Kane was a retired lab technician who enjoyed cats, and was an avid reader. Mrs. Kane was a U.S. Naval veteran, and was of the Episcopalian faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers William Walter Brakefield Jr., Edward Brakefield, Joseph Brakefield, Lawrence Brakefield, Francis Brakefield, and Bolan Breakfield; her sisters Sarah Brakefield, Aimee Fisher, and Ida Brakefield. Survivors include ��her sister Jean Brakefield Miller; her brother James Brakefield; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be ��held Thursday, October ��29th, 2015 at the Oakdale Cemetery with Bro. Tony White officiating.
