Geraldine Fowler, age 93, passed away on Wednesday June 17th 2026 at Owsley County nursing home. She was born November 13,1932 in Estill County Kentucky to the late Elmer Marcum and the late Rosetta Isaacs Marcum.

Geraldine was a special lady. She lived her life for God and her family. She was a member of Drip Rock Baptist Church. She retired from Hamilton plastics in Ohio.

Geraldine enjoyed spending time with her siblings and nieces and nephews. On any given day it was not out of the ordinary for Geraldine to buy her siblings school books and paper to show up with a new dress for the girls. She was also devoted to her dog, Tiny. He went everywhere she went.

One of her most endearing traits was her faithfulness and love she had for her late husband Howard. She would carry his picture around with her and admire it. They were married for many years.

She is survived by three sisters, Opal(Freddie)Hogeback, Arlene(Hilyard)Clark and Sheila(Ledford) Cox. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by nine sisters and brothers, William Lewis Marcum, Luther Marcum, Eugene Marcum, Farris Marcum, Kenneth Marcum, Elmer Jr. Marcum and Wanda(Jack) Barker, Anna(Sony) Farthing and Ina Fay Murphy.

She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Monday June 22,2026 at Drip Rock Baptist Church services will be officiated by Bro. Mike Davis at 1:00pm at the church. Burial will be in Russell Flats Cemetery in Jackson County.
