Glyndeen Meek Tipton, 88, of Wooster OH, formerly of Irvine, widow of Tracy Tipton, passed away Monday. Mrs. Tipton was a native of Estill Co., born Feb. 2nd 1924, a daughter of the late Ed and Ida Mays Meek. She was a retired employee of the Carhartt Company, and a member of Williams Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Cecil Meek. Survivors include her daughter Linda (Rodney) Kirkpatrick; her granddaughters Tracey (Jim) Daughtery and Erika (Tony) Lemmon; five great grandchildren James Daughtery, Samantha Daughtery, Steffani Daughtery, Adria Lemmon, and Alex Lemmon; three sisters Ogal Spicer, Thelma Richardson, and Ruth Castle. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at the Williams Memorial Baptist Church with Jim Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow in the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 PM Thursday, at Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Charles Blevins, Doots Muncy, Sonny Muncy, Mike Gray, David Young Jr., and James Daughtery.
