Harold Ray Hamilton, 90, husband of Etta Clay Moberley Hamilton, passed away Tuesday at the Marcum Wallace Hospital. Mr. Hamilton was a native of Tampa FL, moving to Irvine when he was four years old. He was the son of the late Jennings Bryan Hamilton and Grace Winn Hamilton. Before retirement he was the owner of Winn's Cleaners. He was a faithful member of the Irvine United Methodist Church of over 85 years. He served as Sunday School Superintendent there for many years. He was the last surviving member of the board that oversaw the purchase of the Alder's Gate Camp. He was also an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Hamilton. Survivors other than his wife of 68 years, Etta Clay, include his daughters Susan Hamilton (and husband Wayne) Best of Charleston, South Carolina, Cynthia Hamilton (Ray); his sister Judy Hamilton (and husband Bob) Dunn of Broussard, LA; his granddaughter Grace Falconer (and husband Mike) Gaglione; his great-grandchildren Sophia and Isabella Bacchi. Services will be held Thursday, April 21st, 12:00 pm at the Irvine United Methodist Church with Bro. Don Hatton officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 10:00 am Thursday until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Anthony Wiseman, Time Wiseman, Jeff Wiseman, Bill Shelby Wilson, Gordon Edward Wilson, and E.B. Stacy. Honorary pallbearers will be Men of the Irvine Methodist Church, Tom Bonny, Mark Witt, John Witt, Mike Woolery, Gene Scott King, Joey King, Jim Hill, Mark Trimble, Jay Mansfield, Tom Hart, Ray Otero and Robert Tudor.
