Obituary

Harold Worrell, 83, widower of Edna Isaacs Worrell, passed away Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Worrell was a native of Estill County, a son of the late Alex and Minnie Taylor Worrell. Mr. Worrell was lifelong farmer, born with a servant's heart, a selfless love for his family, and his fellow man. He put others first his entire life. He began work when he was just a child, out of necessity, for his family. He was a strong determined man, who went beyond what was asked of him. He worked his father's farm, and carried the mail for him in horse and buggy. He was a member of the Thomas Baptist Church, the Estill County Agriculture Hall of Fame, and the O.D. Henderson Masonic Lodge. He was preceded death by his sisters Grace, Naomi, Spicy-Tincy, Christine; his brothers Thad, Claude Ray, Charlie, Allen, Stanley, Fran, Johnny, and Doug. Survivors include his children Mark Wayne (and wife Becky) Worrell, Gary Mitchell Worrell, Rhonda Jean (and husband Freddie) Noland, David Scott (and wife Malissa) Worrell, Debra Elaine Hunt, Timothy Harold (and wife Connie) Worrell; his brother Joseph Kenton "Sonny" (and wife Margie) Worrell; his sister Virginia Henderson; grandchildren Nicholas Worrell, Logan Worrell, Chris Noland, Elisha Sorrell, John David Noland, Clarence Worrell, Julia Belle Worrell, Andrew Hunt, Ashley Carter, Amanda Smyth; great-grandchildren Brayden Noland, Morgan Sorrell, Cage Carter, Colt Carter, Tyson Smyth, Timothy Roman Smyth, & Mark Evan Worrell; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Delvin Reece and Bro. Shirel Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe Miller Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Friday. Pallbearers will be Mark Nicholas Worrell, Chris Noland, John David Noland, Logan Worrell, Andrew Hunt, and Clarence David Worrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Horn, Delvin Reece, Glendel Flynn, Russell Isaacs, Harold Isaacs, Paul Coyle, Jeff Hensley and Jim Cohen.
