Hershel Spicer, 61, husband of Blanche Spicer, passed away Tuesday. He was a native of Estill County, a son of the late George and Mary Haddix Spicer. He was preceded in death by his brothers Harvey, Roscoe, Bobby, George, & Stanford Spicer; his sisters Judy Spicer, and Gracie Spicer Cane. Survivors besides his wife Blanche include his children Delbert West, Mary Richardson, Carol Johnson, Mollie Spicer, Joseph Spicer and Hank Spicer; eight grandchildren; his brothers Delbert, Charlie, & Jasper Spicer; his sisters Eve Ballard, and Millie Spicer. Services will be held Monday 2:00 PM Lewis Funeral Home with Bev Arvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Spicer cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 11:00 AM Monday, until service time.
