Ike Boyd Jr., 77, husband of Dovie Peters Boyd, passed away Saturday at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester. Mr. Boyd was a native of Clark County, a son of the late Ike Sr. and Sara Abner Boyd. Mr. Boyd had been a farmer his entire life, and enjoyed tending his cattle, and horses. He was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Boyd; his sisters Margaret Jones and Jean Riggs. Survivors other than his wife Dovie include his sons Ike III (and wife Joni) Boyd, and Alford Jason Boyd; his stepson David Roberts; his sisters Jenny King, Nancy Neal, Juanita Bills, Marie Hawkins, Etta Fraley; his grandchildren Ike Boyd IV, Ashley Fox, Tyler Boyd, T.J. Boyd, April Boyd, and Tiffany Boyd; his great-grandchildren Elijah Boyd, Charity Boyd and Emma Brook Boyd. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 5th, at Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Ike Boyd IV, Steve Fox, Tyler Boyd, Brandon Berryman.
