James Haden Edward Barnes, age 30, of Benton, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on May 29, 2025, at the Marshall County Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.

Haden was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 25, 1995. He was the son of James H. and k. Ann Haden Barnes.

Along with his parents, Haden is also survived by his fiancé 'Melissa Canning, his beloved stepson, Carson who was his entire world. His uncle Ed Barnes and wife Brenda. 3 special cousins, Addelyn Pierce, Kelli Perry, and Marissa Barnes. As well as numerous other cousins and relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

He attended Twin Lakes Worship Center, was an avid agate rock hunter and collector as well as being very involved with the local recovery center. He enjoyed watching sports, especially U.K. basketball.

Funeral services for James Haden Edward Barnes will be conducted on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Marvin Neal will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. A cremation is planned after the services.
