James T. Brackett, age 80, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home in Morrow, Ohio.

James was born on January 23,1943, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late John William and Mildred Estes Brackett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John William (Bill) Brackett Jr. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a retired engineer for CSX Railroad, a member of the American Legion, and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Selena Rae Bowling and husband Richard and Earla Dawn Brackett Combs, both of Morrow, Ohio. 2 grandsons, James Richard and Justin Ray Bowling, along with a granddaughter, Marlee Combs as well as numerous other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

A Celebration of Life for James T. Brackett will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Estill County Golf Club. The family invites family and friends to join them to share memories of their dad and to honor his life.
