Jane Baber Christopher, 91, widow of Wayne Christopher, passed away Monday, July 4th at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A native of Irvine, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Virginia Baber. She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Hancock. She was a member of the Irvine United Methodist Church, 4 Seasons Garden Club, United Methodist Womens Association, Estill County Book Club, Estill County Homemakers and was instrumental in the organization of the Estill County Library. She was a retired social worker for the State of Kentucky. Survivors include her son, Mark (Carol) Christopher; daughters, Jane Scott Bentley and Lisa (Bill) Grimes; grandchildren, Jane Katherine (Ian) Moores, Grant Christopher, James Christopher Bentley, Reed Christopher, and Tate Christopher; great grandchildren, Jane Alise Moores, Nora Moores, James Bentley, and Jacob Bentley; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Don Hatton officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM on Tuesday.
