J.B. Rogers, 83, widower of Freda Rogers, passed away Thursday at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab center. Mr. Rogers was a native of Jackson County a son of the late Levi and Angeline Cain Rogers. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church.Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his brothers Lester, Chester, Troy, and Delbert Rogers; his sisters Mayme Pearson, Myrtle Adkins, and Nancy Rogers. Survivors include his daughter Sharon (and husband Fudd) Morris; his granddaughter Mary Beth Morris; his brothers Everett, and Junior Rogers; his sister Louise Anglin. Services will be held Monday, May 19th, at 11:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Dennis Williams and Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrison Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Sunday. Pallbearers will be Bo Morris, Mike Tyra, Frank Lockett, Charlie Skinner, Dale Skinner, and Bruce Tipton.
