Jewell Dean Edwards, age 82, of Irvine, Ky. Departed this life on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Baptist Health Lexington.

She was born on October 29, 1942, in Irvine, Ky. To the late Charlie and Anna Lou Winkler Lay. Jewell was a woman of strong faith.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, David Earl Conrad and one brother, Doyle Lay.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Dwight Edwards; her four children, Deborah Ann "Conrad" Watts, Richard Lee Conrad and wife Sheila, Peggy Lynn "Conrad" Carpenter and husband Rickie, and Danny Wayne Conrad and wife Laura; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren; one brother Glen Douglas Lay and wife Barbara; and one sister, Teresa Ann Stamper. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends Who will miss her dearly and mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Jewell Dean Edwards will be conducted on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Sherl Thomas will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Boian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of services on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Stephen, Tyler, Chase, and Corey Conrad, Nathan Carpenter, and Joshua Carpenter.
