Jo Ann Smith, 76, passed away Wednesday at the Marcum Wallace Hospital, after a long illness. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, collecting keychains, crafts, crochet, puzzles and making things with her hands. She was preceded in death by her son George Delbert Smith; and her grandson Blake Ely Smith. Survivors include her daughters Cathy "James Boyd" Sparks, Linda "Greenville" Estes, and Roberta Hamilton; her son Russell Ely Smith; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grand; several adopted grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 am at the Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Friday. Pallbearers will be Samuel Webb, Jeffrey Gross, Russell Smith jr, Billy Estes, Kendall Spangler, and Andy Estes.
