John Paul Fraley, age 61, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Danville Hospital. He was born on Saturday, August 7, 1965, in Clark County, Kentucky, to Tom Fraley and the late Victory Fraley.

John Paul was known for his larger-than-life personality and his gift for making conversation with just about anyone. He truly never met a stranger. With a smile on his face and a story ready to tell, you never quite knew what John Paul was going to come up with next. His sense of humor, outgoing nature, and unforgettable stories brought laughter and enjoyment to those around him.

John Paul was also a talented artist who enjoyed expressing his creativity through painting, wood carving, and wood sculpting. He had a true gift for working with his hands and took great pride in the things he created. Music was another important part of his life, and he especially enjoyed playing the guitar.

His talents extended to automobiles as well. John Paul was a gifted mechanic who seemed capable of fixing just about anything. He loved taking things apart, figuring out how they worked, and putting them back together again. Whether he was working on a vehicle, creating a piece of art, playing his guitar, or simply sharing one of his many stories, John Paul brought his own unique personality to everything he did. His smile, laughter, and storytelling will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

John Paul was preceded in death by his loving mother, Victory Fraley.

He is survived by his loving father, Tom Fraley of Clay City, Kentucky; two sons, Jon Paul (Jordan) Fraley of Winchester, Kentucky, and Britton Owens of Clay City, Kentucky; one brother, Larry (Connie) Fraley of Clay City, Kentucky; and one sister, Amy (Chris) Anderson of Clay City, Kentucky. He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with him.
