Judith Gail Wilson Heinlein, age 77, of Irvine, Kentucky (who grew up in Fox, Kentucky), departed this life on February 18, 2025, at the Ida Emmerson Hospice House in Eureka, California.
Judith was born on October 1, 1947, during a visit to Ohio to the late Randall and Romyrtle Richardson Wilson. With an unfortunate very young passing of her mother Romyrtle, she was raised by her grandparents Myrtle Winkler Richardson and William Robert "Big Bob" Richardson in Fox, Kentucky. Married in St. Petersburg, Florida by the Reverend Charles L. Heinlein, she raised her children with Merl Heinlein Sr. in Danville, Indiana. She worked for many years at Carhartt and later at Marcum-Wallace Hospital, retiring in Irvine with a final stay visiting her son Merl Jr. in McKinleyville, California.
She is survived by her former spouse and husband, Merl F. Heinlein Sr., 3 sons Merl F. Heinlein Jr. and (Manolito "Oli" Solis), Adam C.
Heinlein, and Carl Richard "Richie" Heinlein and (Bonnie). 2 Brothers,
Kenneth Wilson and (Sue) and Randy Wilson and (Susan). 2 sisters, Rhonda Freeman and Charlene Fielder, along with other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:00
P.M. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Pastor Carl "Richie"
Heinlein will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Bereavement dinner will be held after the graveside service at the Irvine First Church of the Nazarene.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adam C. Heinlein, Merl Heinlein Jr., Merl Heinlein Sr., Kenneth Wilson, Joe Freeman and Bill Arthur.
