Obituary

Kassie Nichole Hardy, age 43, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Compassionate Care Plus in Richmond, Kentucky. She was born on Wednesday January 26, 1983, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Darrell Murphy and Ida Murphy.

Kassie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose beautiful spirit and kind heart touched the lives of those around her. She attended Church on the Rock and had a deep and unwavering love for Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found her greatest strength, comfort, and happiness in the Lord. Kassie loved worshiping Jesus and praising His name, and she could not imagine walking through life without Him by her side.

Above all else, Kassie's greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren. They were her whole world, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending precious time with each of them. She treasured every moment, every laugh, and every memory they made together. Her love for her family was endless, and she made sure they knew just how special they were to her.

Kassie also had a great love for music and enjoyed singing along to all her favorite songs. She had a joyful spirit, a beautiful heart, and a genuine love for life. She believed in making the most of every day and finding happiness in the simple things. Kassie was the kind of person who could brighten a room with her presence, and her kindness and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Although her family and friends were not ready to say goodbye, they can find comfort in knowing that Kassie is now resting peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus, whom she loved so dearly.

Kassie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gladys Still and James Grace; her paternal grandparents, Dorothy Murphy and Doc Murphy; one brother, Eric Murphy; one aunt, Linda Grace; and two uncles, Dennis Murphy and Stevie Grace.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Darrell and Ida Murphy; three children, Steven Hardy, Christopher Hardy, and Amber Dixon Hardy; nine beloved grandchildren; two sisters, Amy Walters and Crystal Salley; and one brother, Michael Duo. She is also survived by three nieces, Lillionna, Emily, and Sarah; three nephews, Jamie, Jayden, and John; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Burial will follow in Pea Ridge Cemetery, with Johnny Flinchum, Deven Salley, Daniel Conrad, Henry York, Jessie Riddell, Logan Wright, Alce Dusky and Jayden Conrad serving as active pallbearers.

Kassie's earthly journey may have come to an end, but the love she gave, the faith she carried, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
