Katherine Sue Wiseman Land, age 73, of Richmond, Kentucky departed this life suddenly on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at her home.

Katherine was born on February 3, 1952, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Abner Isaac Wiseman and Betty Hardy Wiseman.

She was a graduate of Irvine High class of 1970. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, she went on to pursue a career as an accountant. Katherine was an active member of River Drive Christian Church as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Irvine chapter 357. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by 1 sister Peggy Burns, and a brother-in-law, Greg Wood.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Lowell D. Land, 2 sisters, Linda Wood and Rebecca Newton and husband Michael. 1 stepdaughter, Marla Land, 3 nieces, Donna Oliver, Linda Burns, and Morgan Wood. 1 nephew, Christopher Newton and a great niece, Lilee Oliver. All of whom she loved as if they were her own.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2:00 P.M at the River Drive Christian Church. Brother Paul Groves will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Center or Hospice Care Plus.
