Lenual Smith, 77, husband of Betty Puckett Smith, passed away Monday at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, after a long illness. He was a native of Estill County, a son of the late Orland and Bertie Lee Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church, and retired employee of Concrete Materials. He was preceded in death by his brothers Delmar and Kenneth Smith; his sister Lillian Massey. Survivors include his wife Betty Puckett Smith; his daughter Jennifer and husband Scott Lane; his sisters Modena Estes, Alma Short, and Eva Andres. Services will be held Friday, 2:00 PM, Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM Thursday. Pallbearers will be Terry Horn, William Dixon, Kendal Rogers, Gary Estes, Robert Lane and Austin Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Estes, Delmont Gross, and Damon Dunaway.
