In Loving Memory of Letitia “Tish” King

With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, Letitia “Tish” King, 84, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. A longtime resident of Irvine, Kentucky, and devoted member of First Christian Church, Tish later made her home in Lexington to be closer to family.

Tish was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Foster King; her parents Wayne and Evelyn Powell;siblings Sonny Powell, Bunnie “Winston” Powell, Tamara “Tammy” Dunaway, and David Powell.

She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Broaddus (Tom), Sonja Thomas, and Jena King; her beloved brother Gayle Powell; three cherished grandchildren; six treasured great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Tish will be remembered for the love and talents she shared with her family, friends, and community. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, Tish’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held at First Christian Church, 270 Main Street, Irvine, Kentucky 40336, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00, p.m, followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m, and graveside burial at West Irvine Cemetery.
