Linda Lavon Scrivner Embs, 66, wife of Roy Embs, passed away Thursday, January 2nd 2014 at the Marcum Wallace Hospital. Mrs. Embs was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Henry V. and Lillian Parsons Scrivner. She was a retired employee of the Kroger Company, and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Roy Embs; her daughter Shaye Roberts (Robbie), her granddaughters Rachel Horn and Ratisha Roberts; her great grandsons Brennan and Lukas; her sister Tammy (Chris) Prewitt; her brothers Dwight (Shelia) Scrivner and Billy Scrivner; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday, January 5th, 2014, 2:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunaway Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Saturday. Pallbearers will be Dickie Murphy, Larry Honchell, Ronnie Mays, Jeff Hix, Kevin Horn, and Eric Patrick.
