Lydia Sparks McKinney, 95, widow of Denny McKinney of Irvine, passed away on Friday, February 24th, 2017. A native of Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Lillie West Sparks. She was a retired county treasurer and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Flynn and brothers, Raleigh, Randall, Raymond, Earl, Donald, Odell and Delbert Sparks. Survivors include her son, Jerry McKinney; granddaughters, Meg and Molly McKinney; sisters, Hazel Noland and Estine (Paul) King; brothers, Eli Sparks, Jr., Phillip (Linda) Sparks and Michael Sparks; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, March 3rd at 1PM at the Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals, with Bro. Delvin Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
