Marcella Sue Isaacs Doty, 78, widow of James Doty, passed away on Monday, April 3rd at her home. A native of Estill County, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Bethel Richardson Isaacs. She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, sewing, decorating and tending to her flower gardens. She was preceded in death by her son, James R. Doty; daughter, Sonia Able; brother, Jerry Isaacs; and her sisters, Arlene Worrell, Anetta Coyle, Bobby Jean Harrison, and Louella Rose. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Jennifer) Doty, Todd Doty, and son-in-law, Eugene Able; daughters, Cynthia (Roger) Barnes, Brittany (Chris) Miller; brothers, Harold Isaacs and Russell Isaacs; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, April 6th at 2:00 PM at the Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals with Bro. Sherl Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Allen Barnes, Joshua Barnes, Adam Doty, Devin Doty, Landon Doty, Andrew Doty, Lane Doty and John Able.
