Marthalyn Wilson Lewis Huckleberry, 93, widow of Ed Huckleberry, passed away Monday, October 31st, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Mrs. Huckleberry was a native of of Estill County, a daughter of the late Tom & Cornelia Wilson Lewis. Mrs. Huckleberry was a choir director and pianist at the Irvine First Christian Church, and a former partner in Lewis Funeral Home. She enjoyed music and was a member of the White Oak Pond Christian Church in Richmond. Survivors include her sons Thomas Charles (and wife Rosemary) Huckleberry of Danville, and Edgar Lewis (and wife Lynne) Huckleberry of Louisville; her sister Patsy (and husband Charles) Samples of Lexington; her grandchildren David Huckleberry, John (and wife Amy) Huckleberry, and Andrew Huckleberry; her great-granddaughter Caroline Huckleberry; and her niece Cindy (and husband Mike) McKinney. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 3rd, at the Irvine First Christian Church, with Bro. Greg Humpert and Bro. Chad Snellgrove officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 10:00 am until service time. Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike McKinney, Tommy "Tobo" Bryant, David, John & Andrew Huckleberry. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Abie Lewis.
