Mary Young, age 82, of Irvine, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at her home.

Mary was born on April 21, 1942, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Marcus Ashcraft and Jesse Begley Ashcraft. Mary was a member of Spout Springs Church in Irvine, Kentucky.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by, her spouse Troy Young, two children; Fred Young and Patricia Rose and three brothers; Charlie Ashcraft, Harlan Ashcraft and Russell Ashcraft.

Survivors include four children: Melissa (Tim) Jones, Sharon Miller, Troy Young Jr., and Dale (Amy) Young. Two sisters, Ulla (Dale) Perry, and Viola (Dallas) Hall, four brothers, Nelson (Debbie) Ashcraft, Luther (Betty) Ashcraft, Marcus Jr. Ashcraft and Herman Ashcraft. Seventeen grandchildren and 21great-grandchildren.

The Pallbearers will be Dakota Young, Evan Jones, Dalton Rose, Troy Young Jr., Dale Young, and Jake Hoskins.

Funeral services for Mary Young will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals at 2:00 P.M., with Brother Jerry Rose officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at West Irvine Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky.
