Michael C. York, 70, passed away Wednesday at the VA hospital in Lexington. Mr. York was a native of Wayne IN, a son of the late Christopher and Edna Wicker York. He was a United States Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam. He enjoyed repairing cars, and bingo. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the 40 & 8. He was preceded in death by his siblings Larry York, John York, Donald York, Ronald York, Joyce Robbins, Becky Cope and Penny Lee York. Survivors include his children Larry York, Tammy Capps, and Mike Hager; his siblings Carl York, Mary Miller, and Doris Bingham; his grandchildren Shelby Denise York, V.J. Capps, and Dylan Hager. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call any time after 12:00 pm until service time.
