Obituary

Mildred Louise Garrett Crouch, 91, widow of Roy Crouch, passed away Sunday, at the Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Crouch was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Sherman and Grace Snowden Garrett. She was the owner and operator of Crouch's Town & Country, clothing store, formerly located in downtown Irvine.She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a 25 year member of the 4-H council, the Estill County Golf Club, and a proud member of the Big Blue Nation. She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Doc, and Lyle Garrett; and her sister Donna Williams. Survivors include her daughters Donna (and husband Sam) Watson, and Janene (and husband Skip) East; her son Larry (and wife Dru) Crouch; her grandchildren Chris East, Shelly (and husband Lonnie) Sparks, and Lyle (and wife Beth) Crouch; her great-grandchildren Lauren East, Alyssa Sparks, Carrie Beth Crouch, Bryson Sparks, Benjamin Crouch, and Stella Crouch; her great-great-grandchildren Savana Newton and Chance East-Rawlins. Services will be held Friday, May 30th, at 1:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Humbert officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 pm Thursday. Pallbearers will be Chris East, Lyle Crouch, Lonnie Sparks, Jim Porter, William Durbin, and Steve Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Lisle, Tony Williams, Tom Henderson, and the Irvine First Christian Church Choir.
