Nancy Lee Griffin Wells, age 85, of Lexington, Kentucky formerly of Irvine, departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Sayre Christian Village Nursing facility in Lexington.

Nancy was born on April 21,1939 in Irvine to the late Cecil William Griffin Sr. and Norma Brandenburg Griffin.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Irvine, Kentucky.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by, her sister Patricia Griffin Willis and her brother Cecil Griffin.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Celena Wells Baker and husband Larry and Kimberly Wells Cordier and husband Jon; 2 sons, James Phillip Wells and wife Bella and Charles (Chuck) Thomas Wells; 6 grandchildren, Jennafer, Lindsey, Lauren, Ashlynne, Christopher, and Stephanie Ward; 8 great grandchildren, Katie, Piper, Doc, Evie, Townes, Gillian, Maxlee, and Beez; a very close friend, Thelma Warren, along with numerous other family and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.

Grave side services for Nancy Lee Wells will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M at Oakdale Cemetery with Brother Jerry Rose officiating.
