Paul Jack
Arvin
November 17, 1946 – February 25, 2026
Paul Jack Arvin, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky. He was the devoted and loving husband of Arleene Arvin.
Paul was born on November 17, 1946, to the late Dallas Arvin and Elsie Arvin.
He was a man who never met a stranger and was known far and wide for his gift of storytelling. Paul loved sitting with family and friends, sharing his favorite tales and keeping everyone entertained. Many would say he was the very best storyteller around. If he wasn't bringing smiles with his stories, you could find him tending his garden or working on his farm—two places where he found great pride and joy. He especially enjoyed growing vegetables and canning the fruits of his labor. In quieter moments, Paul could often be found relaxing with a good western or listening to bluegrass music, which he dearly loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Miller.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Arleene Arvin; two sons, Christopher Arvin and Jason Arvin, both of Irvine; one brother, Dennie (Ella) Arvin; and one sister, Kim Boian "Arvin" St. Saviour (Jerry). He is also survived by one granddaughter, Shay (Byron) Raider, and two great-grandchildren, Preston Raider and Jaxson Raider, whom he cherished and loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Lewis Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Funeral services, officiated by Michael Barnes, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Irvine Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky. Active pallbearers will be Byron Raider, Preston Raider, Marvin Dixon, Steve Young, Robert Vaughn, and Jerry St. Saviour. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxson Raider, Marvin Powell, and Aaron Raider.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Home of Irvine.
