Paul G. Watson, 78, husband of Louise Young Watson, passed away Monday, July 11th, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Mr. Watson was a native of Estill County, a son of the late Pearl and Ruth Powell Watson. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was an entrepreneur, having several businesses in Estill County. He founded the Burger Barn in 1973, he also owned used car lots, service stations, groceries, and a contracting company throughout the years. Mr. Watson also enjoyed collecting antiques. He was preceded in death by a grandson Bradley Wayne Watson.
Survivors other than his wife of 39 years, Louise, include his daughter Paula (and husband Phil) Rison; his son Bruce (and wife Regina) Watson; his step-daughter Teresa (and husband Mark) Mitchell; his brothers Sam (and wife Donna) Watson, Fred (and wife Ann) Watson; his grandchildren Tyler (and wife Jimmi Lynn) Watson, Matthew Ryan Mitchell, Lindsay Ann (and husband Austin) Maples, and William Colby Rison; his great-grandchildren William Andrew Maples, and Bo Bradley Watson.
Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 16th, at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 10:00 am until service time.
