Phillip Farthing
Phillip Farthing, age 82, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Hospice Plus in Richmond, Kentucky. Husband of Lizzie Webb Farthing. His wife of 63 years, who survives him.
Phillip was born in Brookville, Indiana on July 13, 1942, to Arthur and Mae Turner Farthing.
A retired Locksmith at EKU, Phillip was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was of the Holiness faith.
Phillip was preceded in death by Dallas and Lucille Turner, a special uncle and aunt who raised and loved him dearly. Also, preceding him in death are two brothers, Robert Farthing and Charles Farthing, one sister, Mary Ellen Sexton. Arthur Farthing his father and Mae Turner Farthing his mother. Also, a special son-in-law, Marvin Bowlin.
Along with his wife, Phillip is survived by one daughter, Lana Bowlin and one son Jeff (Robyn) Farthing, a brother, Harlan (Buck) Farthing, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Upper Red Lick Holiness Church (Madison County). Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. The Reverend Dwight Northern and Pastor Chris Davidson will be officiating. Interment will follow in Red Lick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M until the time of service.
The pallbearers will be Eddie Farthing, Greg Hunter, Wendell Martin, Tommy Turner, Roger Davidson, and Jimmy Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers are Troy Truett, Mitchell Satterfield, Mike Bicknell, Jerry Rose and Jack Farthing.
There will be a Fellowship dinner after the service at the Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department.
