Ray Holland Rose, age 83, of Winchester, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ray was born on November 6, 1940, in McKee, Kentucky to the late Chester and Tressie Lamb Rose. He was of the Holiness faith and a Navy veteran.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rose was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Sparks Rose.

Survivors include, 4 children, Rayna Thomas and husband Glen, Seleta Bean and husband Michael, Curtis Rose and wife Gina, and Holly Calvert and husband Mark. 2 brothers, Joe Rose and wife Virginia and Steve Rose. 2 sisters, Barbara Cole and Marilyn Goosey and husband Paul. 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Ross, Jessica Easter and husband Matthew, Amanda Thomas, Riley Bean, Savannah Hollender and husband Joshua, Lauren Ramsey and husband Matt, Vance Rose and wife Lauren, Emily Calvert, and Hannah Calvert and fiancé Jake Parker. 5 great grandchildren, Trenton Ross, Maddie Ross, Eliza Ramsey, Mollie Ramsey, and Kent Ramsey. Along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.

A memorial service for Ray Holland Rose will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Macedonia Holiness Church in McKee, Kentucky with Rev. Sherl Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Military honors will be provided by Chapter 165 of the D.A.V. of McKee, Kentucky.
